Klopp comments on the level of Mohamed Salah .. and change his position

German coach Jurgen Klopp commented on the talk about the drop in the level of Egyptian international Mohamed Salah with the “Reds” this season due to changing his position to be more on the wing than entering the depth of the field.

And about the fact that Salah’s position was changed, Klopp told “Sony Sports” before facing his team and Arsenal scheduled for Sunday at the summit of the tenth stage of the English Premier League: “Salah’s position has not changed and I did not ask him for different things from previous seasons, it is only about the team not appearing in the best its levels.”

“We’re not doing our best and there are some moments of stalemate at our level, which causes us to go to the ends a lot of times when we need to do that.”

And the German coach continued: “Of course we need Salah in such situations, but we also need him in the depth to form a threat to the opponent’s goal, so the observation is not wrong, but we are working to increase flexibility in the team.”

What happened inside Liverpool?

  • Liverpool suffers this season from poor results, especially in the English Premier League, amid the decline in Salah’s level and his inability to help his team as he used to during the past years.
  • The Egyptian star, who was crowned the English Premier League top scorer last season, has only scored 4 times in 10 matches with Liverpool this season in various competitions.
  • Liverpool collected only 10 points out of 21 possible in the English Premier League, and suffered a major defeat at the beginning of his Champions League campaign against Napoli, 1-4, before regaining his balance with two consecutive victories over Ajax and Glasgow Rangers.
